Arthur Avenue hustles and bustles as NYers prep for Thanksgiving
NEW YORK (PIX11) – It was a holiday rush of a different kind on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx on Wednesday as folks from far and wide stocked up on Thanksgiving staples and, of course, Italian favorites.
They don't get any more New York than David Greco. He had the holiday spirit as he served up some of the neighborhood’s best at Mike’s Deli.
The customers come from all over – some with major shopping lists for their Thanksgiving feast. You couldn’t ask for better weather to stroll Arthur Avenue on Wednesday, but the lines were long. The line stretched out the door at Artuso Pastry Shop.
Vendors were shucking corn and offering all the vegetables you could want, but the main courses and the deserts were the stars of the show.
Besides food shopping, Arthur Avenue is a great place to gather with friends before the main event on Thanksgiving Day.
