It was fine revenge off the blade of Hardik after he himself was smashed for a hat-trick of sixes by new CSK all-rounder Vijay Shankar. The TN all-rounder had smashed 42 off 20 balls with 4 sixes to power is side to an imposing 221 for 6 wickets after batting first. Hardik leaked 44 runs in his three overs.
Earlier, Narayan Jagadeesan smashed 57 off 32 balls with three sixes and 5 fours. In reply, Baroda were struggling to overhaul the target with six wickets down for 152 and need 70 to win off 26 balls.
That was before the Hardik storm hit Indore. Overall, he clobbered 7 sixes and 4 fours in his knock before being run out in the final over of the innings thanks to a brilliant direct hit from Vijay Shankar.
But Atit Sheth completed the formality, smashing TN’s M. Mohammed when four was needed off the final ball to win.
Meanwhile, following Gurjapneet Singh’s selection in the Chennai Super Kings team for the IPL 2025, his parents expressed their delight at their son’s selection to the T20 league. “We are feeling very happy and proud. The whole of Ambala city is celebrating. He has been very interested in cricket since childhood. He always gave his 100 per cent in cricket.
