Automakers move to EVs despite Trump threat to kill tax credits

DETROIT, Michigan: If President-elect Donald Trump follows through on his threat to eliminate federal tax credits for electric vehicle purchases, fewer buyers will likely choose EVs.

Regardless of tax credits, automakers remain committed to transitioning away from gas-powered vehicles, largely due to the significant investments already made. According to the Center for Auto Research, since 2021, the industry has
