Shareholders have blocked Punit Goenka’s reappointment as director of Zee Entertainment during the recent AGM. Despite stepping down as MD, Goenka will continue as CEO until 2029. Meanwhile, the Zee board has appointed Saurav Adhikari as an additional director. The company faces challenges after its merger with Sony Pictures Networks India collapsed.
