Iredale: We Need To Build Momentum
Hibernian defender Jack Iredale is confident the Hibees can build momentum as we approach a busy run of fixtures in December.
Jack Iredale was on press duties ahead of our trip to Motherwell this weekend. The 28-year-old defender made his first start for the Club in midweek, playing his part in an action-packed 3-3 thriller with Aberdeen.
The Hibees rescued a point in that one thanks to Rocky Bushiri’s last-minute strike, and Iredale is hoping that goal - and performance - can turn our fortunes around this season.
“The mood in the camp is good, all things considered. We’re focusing on taking the momentum from the result in midweek and getting that point in the last minute. We need to progress forward from that and we are all looking forward to Saturday.
“The point is the least we deserved against Aberdeen. Our performance and the way we went about things, the fact that we went all the way to the very last kick of the game shows how together we are as a group and as a Club as well.”
Up next, we travel to Fir Park to play Motherwell in what is another big game for the Club as we approach a busy period of fixtures in December.
“The coaches set us up really well with all the information they gave us (against Aberdeen). There was a slight tactical tweak which gave us a good chance and you saw that working for us in the first half.
“We’re just trying to do more of the same – we are so close to having these things go well for us.
“I feel we have been unfortunate this season, the table says what the table says, but I do feel that we are very close.
“We nearly got a big result on Tuesday night, but we still got a point and if we play with that same commitment then I am sure the points will come.
“So much of what we are doing is working, it is coming down to individual things or we aren’t getting the bounce of the ball. But I genuinely believe we are very close.”
