NEW YORK (PIX11) – The first-ever Metro-North Railroad Holiday Train is ready to light up the rails.
Starting on Friday and running through the New Year, this festive train will be decked out with festive lights and will carry holiday-themed safety messages.
“I’m thrilled that Metro-North can bring the joy, beauty, and lights of the season to all of our riders on their way to work, school, or to see family and friends during the holidays,” said Metro-North Railroad President Catherine Rinaldi.
A new addition for 2024 is Metro-North's holiday revenue train, featuring colored lights along the exterior and special music/announcements on board. The train waits in New Haven for its big debut on Black Friday.
