Patriots Bring Back Starter In Day-Before-Game Elevations

The Patriots will bring offensive lineman Michael Jordan back into the gameday fold on Sunday.

No, he won’t be wearing No. 45.

Jordan, who was released and subsequently brought back via the practice squad this week, was elevated to the active roster on Saturday. It’s a rather quick return for the 26-year-old, who started 11-of-12 games to start the season, filling in for Cole Strange after he was placed on the physically unable to perform list.

Jordan is a candidate to start yet again, as Strange has yet to be activated despite having his practice window opened. The Patriots likely will choose to make a change, however, with Layden Robinson, Sidy Sow, Tyrese Robinson and newcomer Lester Cotton looking like candidates to slide in and play at left guard.

Robinson is the betting favorite, for those interested in such things.

New England also elevated linebacker Keshawn Banks.

Banks will join the active roster for the third straight week, having served in a limited role on special teams and defense since originally signing with New England on Oct. 23.
