A Thanksgiving look at what one of the turkeys had to say
It has been a long while since we indulged in White Sox cryptogram, or cryptosoxery if you will, but this Thanksgiving weekend seems a good time to indulge in such a quiz, especially since it has been quite a year (+ or -) for stupid quotes by Sox honchos. Besides, as we wait for the Winter Meetings, not much else is going on with the Sox.
For those unfamiliar with the genre, a cryptogram is a simple letter substitution code ... an h may stand for a q, an n for a g, etc., You solve it by looking for the most common letters (e being the top one — think Wheel of Fortune favorites after that) or a common word or maybe guessing the speaker and go from there.
There were so many stupid things said by the brass and friends lately we could do this daily until teams report to Arizona, but in the spirit of holiday kindness here’s one of the more normal things said by one of the usual suspects.
