DESPITE Maura’s best efforts to keep her love life private, Joel Dommett slyly revealed the identity of the man she is dating on I’m A Celeb: Unpacked.
The Love Island alum opened up about her love life in a conversation with her campmates tonight, admitting that there might be someone waiting for her on the outside.
However, she was careful not to let the person’s name slip out.
During a bush telegraph, Maura confessed that she wants to keep her situation with this person under wraps as much as possible.
Unfortunately for her, Joel was more than happy to clarify who she was talking about on Unpacked.
Speaking about tonight’s episode, the comedian quipped: “Maura mentioned her famous mystery lover.
“Don’t worry everybody. I’m not gonna give it away.
“I think it’s really good that they are keeping things strictly confidential.
“Strictly confidential. Unrelated. Sam, how’s your best mate?”
Joel was well aware that he was dropping two big hints that the person Maura was speaking about was none other than Pete Wicks.
The Strictly star was romantically linked to Maura before her appearance on I’m A Celeb, as the Sun first revealed.
The pair fuelled the rumour mill earlier this year when they were spotted kissing while on a dinner date at Gloria.
Before that they were pictured snogging in the park this summer.
They were also seen getting up close and personal at the afterparty for the Pride of Britain Awards.
One of Joel’s obvious hints was the link between Pete and Strictly Come Dancing, which he is currently competing on with Jowita Przystał.
The second was his reference to the close friendship between Pete and Sam Thompson.
The pair met while filming Celebs Go Dating in 2018 and have been close ever since.
Sam previously gushed about his pal to Hello! Magazine, saying: “He’s a brilliant listener… Pete Wicks is probably the person I would go to first out of every single person that I know.
“His life experience is nearly unmatched. He has gone through so much in his life, good and bad, and he’s always got the best advice and he’s always so uplifting in his own way as well.”
