I’m A Celeb’s biggest Bushtucker Trial fails from Helen Flanagan to Iain Lee & those who came back to camp with NO stars
THE I’M A Celebrity Bushtucker Trials are always a firm fan favourite during the three-week series – but it doesn’t always go to plan.
Throughout the years there have been epic fails from Helen Flanagan to Iain Lee with celebrities even returning with no stars whatsoever. Here we take a look at the most memorable stars – for all the wrong reasons.

Gillian McKeith
ONE infamous I’m A Celebrity campmate who claims she’s “never recovered” from the ITV series is Gillian McKeith.
The nutritionist and TV personality was dubbed one of the show’s “most controversial” contestants.
Gillian famously acted faint on a number of occasions before ‘fainting’
She had been voted for SEVEN consecutive trials – but before taking part in the last one she fainted live on air.
It was back in 2010 when she collapsed and an onsite medic had to rush in to give her aid in front of stunned hosts Ant and Dec.
She was accused of faking the faint to get out of doing the trial.
Campmate Shaun Ryder said: “If that was real, so are my teeth.
“We get 12 meals and Gillian gets an Academy Award.”
Able to see the funny side looking back, Gillian, who was 51 when she was in the jungle, recently laughed: “I tried everything to get out of these trials.”

She has always insisted it was genuine, saying she hadn’t eaten much that morning and does have a history of fainting.
“I tried telling them I was pregnant and they didn’t believe me,” Gillian added recently.
“I said, ‘I do actually believe I am pregnant and we really must take this seriously.'”

Natalie Appleton
ALL Saints member Natalie Appleton became known for quitting the jungle in 2004.
The singer cried “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here” after being voted to do five Bushtucker Trials in a row.
She moaned: “You have got to be kidding. I have nothing left.”
Natalie says she was pushed to the brink while facing her fear of heights and forced to eat fish eyes and kangaroo testicles.

She won just won star the day before she quit – and refused to stay a moment longer after being told the public wanted her to face another Bushtucker Trial.
Helen Flanagan
CORONATION Street star Helen Flanagan is another campmate who made the grave error of admitting she was scared of… well, everything.
The public seized on the opportunity to punish her by voting her to do SEVEN Bushtucker trials in a row back in 2012.

In one particular challenge called Rodent Run, Helen bailed at the very last second, screaming: “I’m freaking out”.

Helen – who played Rosie Webster in the ITV soap – lasted just ten seconds in a another trial called Bug Burial.
She can’t say she wasn’t warned by her soap bosses, however.
Speaking about what she was told before signing up to I’m A Celeb, Helen said: “Because I’m A Celebrity has been going on for so long, so many people have done the jungle out of Coronation Street.

Lady C
Lady C famously asked for a knife and fork during her eating trial
THE notorious Lady Colin Campbell became a regular at Bushtucker Trials during the 2015 series.
However, she was pushed to her limited when voted to take on Panic Pit.
It involved lying in a hole in the ground for ten minutes while covered in various creepy crawlies.
Before even giving it a go, Lady C stated: “I’m not starting it, sorry.”

She then explained: “I have a cousin who was murdered by being buried alive, I’m not doing anything that is coffin like or involves coffins. I’m really sorry about this, I would gladly be a sport.”
She therefore forfeited the challenge and returned to camp with zero stars.
Iain Lee
Iain Lee fought back sick as he was faced with animal anus
FORMER radio host Iain Lee became a controversial campmate when he entered the jungle in 2017.
He struggled so much with an underwater trial that he return to camp with ZERO stars.
“I thought I was going to die”, admitted Iain.
He later told ITV’s Loose Women: “When you go onto I’m A Celebrity you get asked all these questions on these forms and one of the questions is ‘“’can you swim’
“And I wrote yes. But I should have wrote… kind of. Because I can’t swim underwater very well. So it was horrendous. It was that tiny space.”
Iain gave it his all during one trial where he used his tongue to get stars
