Riley County Police investigate Saturday and Sunday shootings

MANHATTAN (KSNT) - The Riley County Police Department is investigating multiple shootings that took place Saturday night and Sunday morning.

According to a press release from RCPD, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 2000 block of College Heights just before 8 PM Saturday.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a 23-year-old female with a gunshot wound. She was transported to Ascension Via Christi and treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Then, around 5:45 Sunday morning, officers responded to another report of shots fired in the 1800 block of Claflin Road. When officers arrived they found three people shot. All were transported to the same hospital for treatment.

RCPD believes there is no ongoing threat to the public at this time.

These shootings are still under investigation, and 27 News will provide more information as it becomes available.
