The India Meteorological Department has issued a warning of significant rainfall in Kerala due to cyclone Fengal. Heavy rain is expected in northern and central parts of the state on Tuesday. Red alerts are issued for five northern districts. Educational institutions in several districts are declared closed. Residents are advised to stay vigilant as heavy rainfall is likely to intensify.
