2 deputies OK after being hit by truck near Highmark Stadium

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two Erie County Sheriff's deputies were not injured after they were hit by a truck near Highmark Stadium early Monday, police said.
A vehicle going westbound on Big Tree Road hit two deputies directing traffic at the intersection of Big Tree and Abbott Road around 1 a.m. Monday.
The deputies were not hurt, but they were checked out by medical personnel as a precaution. The vehicle, a dark-colored GMC truck, fled the scene and was not able to be located. The suspect is described as a white male with a beard.
The incident is still under investigation.
