Many in Jeff Davis Parish to be without electricity for 6 hours on Tuesday

JENNINGS, La. (KLFY) -- Many residents and businesses in Jeff Davis Parish will be without electric power for several hours tomorrow, officials said.
The Jeff Davis Electric Co-op has announced it will have a scheduled outage on Tuesday, Dec. 10 starting at 9 a.m. at the following substations: Charlie, Manchester and Hackett.
Charlie substation outage will affect members in Morganfield, the Manchester outage will affect members in South Lake Charles, Manchester, Holmwood, Iowa, Bell City and Lacassine, and the Hackett outage will affect members in Grand Lake, Sweet Lake and Bell City.
This outage is expected to last six hours and is required for work on the transmission system, officials said.
