Very modest warmup in Central Ohio by midweek, when the next chill arrives

Good Monday evening!
Just like over the weekend, the bitter cold has stuck around to welcome us into the work week! Temperatures are struggling to reach the freezing line across the area. There is some improvement with the thermometer to come, but it will be short lived.
Clouds and a cooler air mass above us have kept temperatures well below normal for this time of year. Going into tonight, we'll see a decent amount of clearing, allowing temperatures to plummet going into Tuesday morning. The thermometer will be hovering around 20 degrees with a wind chill that will make it feel more like the teens.
We finally push above freezing for Tuesday afternoon with the help of more sunshine, but it is only by a few degrees. Winds will remain light, but will still add an additional chill to the air. We continue to warm into Wednesday, with numbers approaching 40 degrees. But, our next system will find its way into the state to add a hard stop to that small warming trend.
A cold front will sweep in Wednesday afternoon and into the evening. That will add in a light wintry mix and some rain showers for the second half of Wednesday. Precipitation coverage continues to build through Wednesday night with better chances of seeing snow showers. Accumulations wise, we could see a light dusting on the ground for Thursday morning.
Our next chill arrives for Thursday. Temperatures will start off in the low 20s and only reach the upper 20s by the afternoon. We hover closer to freezing for Friday and finally push into the upper 30s and 40s going into the weekend.
The weekend will see a return of some wet weather, but with the warmup, we'll see better chances of rain in the area. Light chances for showers pick up Sunday night going into the beginning of next week.
