UN chief calls for immediate cessation of hostilities in Syria

UNITED NATIONS, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities amid the recent escalation of violence in Syria, his spokesman said on Monday.
