RBI Deputy Governor Swaminathan J suggested that banks use a bottom-up approach to prepare credit plans to meet the fund needs of different segments in districts. He emphasized using field surveys for data collection and focusing on underserved groups like Self-Help Groups, small and marginal farmers, and MSMEs, especially those led by women.
