Following the 2-1 win against Herne Bay, the R’s were then drawn against Penn & Tylers Green in the 1st Round Proper.

My previous visit to the French School Meadows ground was around eighteen months ago for the Combined Counties League Midweek Cup tie.

Rangers went ahead after eight minutes when Annie Dzyadyk’s low cross from the right had found Courtnay Ward-Chambers in the box.

A dangerous ball across the six-yard box just evaded Courtnay Ward-Chambers’ outstretched leg.

The R’s were well on top at this stage and Billie Brooks went close with a header going just wide of the target.

QPR doubled their lead in the closing stages, when Grace Stanley crossed from the bye-line and Annie Dzyadyk headed into the bottom-corner from close range.

Rangers went three-up a minute or so before the interval, following a heavy challenge from behind on Stevie Kennedy. Billie Brook’s free kick from a wide-left position was bundled into the net by Stevie Kennedy. Half-time: 3-0.

Into the second-half and the away side continued from where they had left off before the break.

After Grace Stanley had been set-up, the R’s striker fired her shot directly at the keeper.

And then just seconds later, a good ball across the box found Annie Dzyadyk in space, who proceeded to shoot just wide of the upright.

Later, Rangers went even closer when a Grace Stanley flick hit the crossbar.

The R’s striker went close again when she fired the ball goalwards, and the keeper managed to keep it out with the aid of her feet.

Despite numerous attempts at goal, it remained 3-0 when Mr Mayer blew the final whistle.

Five changes were made at various stages of the second-half, which saw the introduction of; Alana Munro, Alice Curr, Chloe Sampson, Renai McCrea and Ashleigh Goddard at the expense of; Jess Cooper, Stevie Kennedy, Grace Stanley, Courtnay Ward-Chambers and Annie Dzyadyk respectively.

It was a return to league action next when Danny Harrigan’s side travelled to St. Neots to take on Cambridge United.

Thanks to Sammy for the lift back to Park Royal.
