Columbia-Greene Humane Society receives $100K in grants
HUDSON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA announced on Tuesday that the organization recently received a $75,000 grant from the PARC Foundation and a $25,000 grant from the Bruce G. Geary Foundation. The $100,000 in funding will go toward supporting the shelter's low-cost veterinary clinic.
The clinic, located within the non-profit's facility at 111 Humane Society Road in Hudson, offers the public affordable care for pet dogs, cats, and rabbits. Services range from vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and microchipping to minor surgeries and health and wellness exams.
“We are very grateful to both the PARC Foundation and the Bruce G. Geary Foundation for their support," said CGHS/SPCA President/CEO Ron Perez. "These funds will make life-altering, quality changes for hundreds of animals yet to be seen at our veterinary clinic, many of which would otherwise go without medical care."
The Columbia-Greene Humane Society is open Monday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. All CGHS clinic services are by appointment only, which can be scheduled by calling (518)828-6044 extension 100.
