EASTENDERS’ Eve Unwin arms herself to protect her family after Nish Panesar’s prison break.

Tonight’s episode of the BBC soap saw Eve and Suki hoping to finally have their ‘happy ever after’ following their reunion and Nish’s arrest last month.

The businessman – played by Navin Chowdhry – let police believe he killed Keanu Taylor last Christmas.

Nish – who is dying – asked ex-wife Suki not to marry partner Eve while he was still alive.

But he was left furious when he found out that the couple were planning their nuptials.

Nish managed to bribe a prison doctor into having him moved to the hospital wing for treatment of his terminal heart condition.

But as he was being driven in an ambulance with a prison guard by his side, a car suddenly pulled up in front of it and forced the driver to screech to a stop.

A thug then got out and threatened the driver with a gun, before doing the same when the back doors of the ambulance were opened.

Nish soon unhooked himself from the stretcher and climbed up, relishing the sight of freedom once again.

His jail break won’t go unnoticed for long though, as in tomorrow’s episode, the news of his escape soon reaches Albert Square.

Eve (Heather Peace) is ready to defend her love Suki once again, as well as her family.

When she hears someone creeping in via the back door, Eve tells Vinny to stay quiet before grabbing a bottle of wine.

As she heads into the kitchen and the back door, she raises the bottle ready to strike the intruder.

But who will she find? And will Nish be able to get his revenge on her and Suki?
