A former terrorist fired a shot at former Punjab Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal outside the Golden Temple in Amritsar. A policeman overpowered the attacker before he could hit Badal, who was performing 'sewa' due to a fractured leg. The bullet hit a wall, and Badal escaped unharmed. Police identified the attacker as Narain Singh Chaura and launched an investigation.
