Saratoga Springs commissioner cited for falsified FOIL requests
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office cited a Saratoga Springs city employee for allegedly unlawfully preventing public access to records. The Commissioner of Accounts, Dillon Moran, is accused of three non-criminal complaints.
The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office said Moran is accused of issuing false sworn certifications to respond to Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests. Deputies said the three complaints happened in February, March, and May 2024.
A citizen submitted the complaints to Saratoga Springs City Court on Tuesday, November 26. Moran's arraignment is Thursday, December 19, at 9 a.m.
