DOTD: I-49 ramp to I-10 closed until further notice

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- The ramp that was struck by an 18-wheeler Tuesday is closed for at least a few days, according to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
Exit 1A on from southbound I-49 to eastbound I-10 is closed. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes along I-10 eastbound.
DOTD said the closure will last until further notice.
That was the ramp where an 18-wheeler struck the 1-10 eastbound overpass. According to the Lafayette Police Department, the 18-wheeler was carrying a large load and struck the overpass of I-10 eastbound.
