10 people displaced after Seaside home fire

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Ten people were displaced after a fire engulfed a split-level home in Seaside's Sunset Hills Neighborhood on Thursday, authorities said.
Seaside Fire and Rescue and Seaside Police responded to the fire on 385 Alpine St. at 4:29 p.m., the City of Seaside said in a release.
"Thick black smoke was visible rising above Sunset Hills from across the city before firefighters arrived and quickly knocked back the flames. Responders found the home fully involved. The fire was declared knocked down at 5:07 p.m.," officials said.
The 10 people who were displaced are being assisted by the Red Cross. No one was injured in the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown and it remains under investigation, authorities said.
