Rensselaer County passes 2025 budget

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Leaders in Rensselaer County approved the 2025 budget. Officials said the budget passed by a 15 to 2 vote during a special meeting on Thursday.

The $424 million spending plan will reduce the property tax rate by eight percent. Leaders said the county earned a record amount in sales tax revenue last year and expects to see similar numbers this year.
