One dead after north Columbus shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- One person is dead after a shooting in north Columbus.

Columbus police responded to a reports of shots fired at 4:48 p.m. Thursday, where they found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, who has not yet been identified, was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but was pronounced dead at 5:28 p.m.

The shooting took place at the 3400 block of Nutcreek Court in the Walnut Creek area near Easton. Police said they do not have any suspect information.
