Lindsay Lohan Reveals Her Christmas Plans With Baby Luai & the Importance of ‘Normalcy’
Lindsay Lohan is heading into Christmas queen territory — she’s in two Netflix holiday rom-coms now! — but she is excited to just be normal with her son Luai, 1, who she shares with husband Bader Shammas. The Mean Girls alum opened up about her holiday plans with her toddler and how she is looking forward to spending some much-needed down-time in a new interview.
Her holiday plans start with gift-wrapping. “I’m very nerdy when it comes to wrapping presents,” Lohan said in an interview with Alexa Holiday Fashion 2024, via the New York Post. “I love the art of wrapping. I will wrap any of my friends’ presents — just give it to me. I’ll help.” And for her son, she goes all out.
“For my son, I want to do fun ones,” Lohan continued. “If he sees dinosaur wrapping paper, he gets excited. So that’s what’s fun for me — wrapping presents and putting up the tree. And filming every moment of it!” It sounds just like us! Lohan also revealed how she’ll bake brownies to make a trail of “dirt” on the floor near Santa’s plate of cookies. Adorable!
“It’s no longer about you, really,” the Our Little Secret star said. “For me, everything is about my child and my family and my household, and making sure that my work is in line with what’s going to work for everyone else.” Lohan also wants to stay home in Dubai. “I would like to be settled here, because then I can do everything for the baby.”
Her life at home in Dubai is much more laid back than in New York, and Lohan doesn’t take it for granted. “I value just taking the time for the normalcy, and just being a mom, not having to go put makeup on every second to go to this or that event. We live in such a world of go, go, go, go, go, and that’s great,” the Freaky Friday star said. “But you need to have balance. I need longer times of balance, because I need time with my child. That’s really important to me. I’m a mom and a wife first, and then, you know, I have my other stuff.”
In October, Lohan was looking forward to spending Halloween with Luai now that he’s old enough to kind of know what’s going on. She told PEOPLE that she had five different costumes for him to wear. “I’m still trying to decide what I want him to wear, but my problem is I always buy so many costumes,” the 38-year-old said. “And he’s still at the age where I can just make him wear five different things because I just want all those photo memories.”
She’s clearly obsessed with her baby boy, and it shows. And we are so happy for her!
