BRS leaders Kalvakuntla Kavitha and Harish Rao were placed under house arrest in Hyderabad to prevent a protest against the earlier arrest of other BRS leaders. Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi defended the right to protest, while Rao condemned the arrests and criticized Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The BRS alleges phone tapping of opposition leaders.
