Ready for Paramount to Put the 2 in 1923?
Whatever else is happening in the Sheridan-verse right now can’t stop these Duttons from returning to our screens. Thanks in part to delays from the Hollywood strikes, it’s been almost two years since the finale of the first season of 1923 aired. Talk about a historic drought! But on December 5, Paramount rewarded fans for their patience by dropping a premiere date, several first-look images, and two short teaser clips for the Yellowstone prequel (and 1883 sequel) show starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. Below, here’s what we know so far about 1923 season two, including who’s in the cast and what to do if you’ve forgotten where last season left off.
What happens in the teasers?
Everyone’s pretty stressed. Spencer is trying to get back to his family in Montana, Jacob declares that the ranch and Dutton way of life are “under attack,” and Cara fires a gun. There’s only about 30 seconds of footage between the two clips, so a press release helps fill in some details. According to an officiall synopsis, a “cruel winter” will bring “new challenges and unfinished business” to Jacob and Cara in season two. Alexandra will also embark “on her own harrowing trans-Atlantic journey” to find and reclaim her love with Spencer, who is “racing against time to save his family.”
Who’s in the cast?
Expect to see a lot of familiar faces kicking up dust again, starting with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren as Jacob and Cara Dutton. Spencer (Brandon Sklenar), Teonna (Aminah Nieves), and Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer) are also returning, and the full cast includes Jerome Flynn, Darren Mann, Brian Geraghty, Michelle Randolph, Sebastian Roché, Timothy Dalton, and Jennifer Carpenter.

When is 1923 season two coming out?
The second season of 1923 will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ on February 23.
What if I forgot what happened in season one?
Understandable, given that the finale aired in February 2023! Paramount Network will begin re-airing the first season of 1923 after the new Yellowstone episode on December 8. The schedule is as follows:
- December 8: Episode one
- December 15: Episode two
- December 22: Episodes three and four
- December 29: Episodes five and six
- January 5: Episodes seven and eight
