Police officer shoots at car with stolen license plates in Harlem: NYPD
HARLEM, Manhattan (PIX11) – A police officer fired his gun at a car with stolen plates that tried to hit them and another officer in Harlem early Friday morning, according to the NYPD.
It happened on West 115th Street around 12:45 a.m. Two officers tried to stop a gray Range Rover with stolen Virginia license plates, according to authorities.
As they approached the Range Rover, it took off and tried to strike one of the officers, police said. One of the officers then fired his weapon several times.
No one was struck by bullets, according to authorities. The Range Rover took off toward 8th Avenue.
Both officers were taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
No arrests have been made. An investigation into the incident is ongoing, police said.
