'Living in fear': Oath Keepers leader's ex-wife terrified he'll get a Trump pardon

The former wife of imprisoned Oath Keepers leader Stewart Rhodes said on Friday she's deeply concerned that President-elect Donald Trump will grant her one-time husband a pardon.

Appearing on CNN, Tasha Adams told host Jim Acosta that her husband is dangerous and why she fears his potential release.

"This person... abused his family and had us living in fear year upon year," she explained.

She went on to say that she "put a lot of faith" in the American justice system to keep her safe from Rhodes, as she even agreed to testify against him at his bail hearing.

After Rhodes was convicted, she said she "started feeling happy and safe and living a normal life with my kids and now it could all come down again."

Acosta then asked Adams if she believes her "family could be in jeopardy" should Rhodes get released, and she replied, "Very much so."

"Maybe we'll stay put, maybe we'll try to move somewhere, maybe we'll try to move somewhere and disappear," she said. "I just don't really know what to do. I should have been more prepared for this, but it's just so unbelievable that this would happen... just from beginning to end it just blows my mind."

Rhodes last year was convicted on seditious conspiracy charges for his role in helping his fellow Oath Keepers' plan to violently storm the United States Capitol building on January 6th, 2021, with the intent of blocking the certification of the 2020 presidential election.
