Higginbottom Scores Career-High 38 Points in Arkansas WBB’s Win over Boston College

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas women’s basketball (5-5) did its part in this year’s SEC/ACC Challenge after picking a 75-64 win over Boston College (6-4) on Thursday night at Bud Walton Arena.

The Hogs have won both of their Challenge appearances, with last year’s win coming against No. 14  Florida State.

Senior guard Izzy Higginbottom paced the Razorbacks with a career-high 38 points with a career-high 14 made field goals. Higginbottom’s 38 points are the most for an Arkansas player since Chelsea Dungee had 41 against Auburn in 2019. The Batesville, Ark. native scored 10 of the Hogs’ first 12 points and had 17 at halftime.

For most of the game, Arkansas and Boston College traded blows and finished with 11 total lead changes. The Razorbacks led for just over 10 minutes, with most of that in the fourth quarter. The Hogs took over on both ends of the ball and outscored the Eagles 25-11 in the final period.

The SEC won the Challenge 10-6.
