In December, Calgarians will see the provincial government's proposal for a new downtown Green Line LRT alignment. This new alignment stems from the province’s decision in September to withdraw its funding from the project to pursue an at-grade or above-grade alignment through downtown. While the details of the proposal have not yet been shared publicly, the province has announced that it has been working on the project in collaboration with a committee that includes city councillors, the mayor, MLAs and AECOM, an engineering firm.
