Man killed in crash in central Kansas Friday morning

RICE COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) -- An SUV crashed off of U.S. Highway 56 in Rice County early Friday, killing a Kansas City, Kansas, man.
It happened just east of 28th Road between Lyons and McPherson.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said Gabriel Herron, 26, was heading west on the highway when his Honda Element left the roadway to the right. Troopers say he overcorrected, went back on the road, then back in the ditch. The SUV rolled twice.
The KHP said Herron was not wearing a seat belt. He died at the scene.
