Two arrested in Livingston for striking police car, drug possession
LIVINGSTON, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- On Thursday, two Massachusetts residents were arrested after striking a police car at the intersection of State Route 9H and State Route 82. Anthony Price-Baynes, 31, of Pittsfield, MA, and Kimberly Longe, 32, of Pittsfield, MA, were arrested and face multiple charges each.
According to state police, the Hudson Police Department were in pursuit of a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox being operated by a subject known to have an active warrant for his arrest. The suspect, Price-Baynes, then reportedly struck a Hudson Police Department car at intersection of State Route 9H and State Route 82.
Upon further investigation of him and the passenger, Longe, police allegedly found 24.7 grams of fentanyl, 7 grams of heroin and 0.4 grams of cocaine between the two.
Charges for Price-Baynes:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, with intent to sell in the third degree, a class B felony
- Attempted Assault on a Police Officer, a class D felony
- Criminal Mischief in the second degree, a class D felony
- Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle, a class A misdemeanor
- Reckless Endangerment in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor
- Criminal Mischief in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor
Charges for Longe:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, with the intent to sell, in the third degree, a class B felony
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor
Both were later arraigned in the town of Claverack Court. According to troopers, Longe was released on her recognizance with a return date of Dec. 12 at 6:00 p.m. and Price-Baynes was remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail and is scheduled to appear before the town of Livingston Court on Dec. 10 at 9:30 a.m.
