Austin's Zilker Eagle to operate during Trail of Lights nights

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Zilker Eagle will be doubling as the Polar Express at Austin's Trail of Lights this year.
The Austin Parks Foundation confirmed the miniature train will operate under special holiday hours during the Trail of Lights, running from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 10-23.
Officials added the special holiday hours will feature the same ticket prices as regular hours, which run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Austin Parks Foundation said tickets will be sold at the train depot on a first-come, first-served basis.
In the event of inclement weather, the train's hours might change. Any updates to operational impacts will be shared on the Zilker Eagle's social media accounts on Instagram, X and Facebook.
