FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Friday afternoon!
Skies have gotten a lot clearer in time for Friday, but temperatures are still lagging behind on the cooler side. While we will see a modest warmup for this afternoon, a bigger warming trend is on the way to carry us into next week.
High pressure continues to push into our area. That will keep skies dry and mainly clear going into the weekend. Temperatures today will climb to the freezing line with a mild wind chill. For Saturday, we are finally above freezing, but still below normal. Temperatures for the end of the weekend will push above average for the first time this month as the thermometer lands around 50 degrees.
Our next system will arrive late Sunday and last into Monday. A cold front will bring in showers for Sunday night and mainly Monday morning. Rain will continue to taper into Monday afternoon. Temperatures will be at their warmest for the start of next week as we hover around the mid 50s.
Scattered showers continue to linger into Tuesday. Temperatures will drop, but still hold in the lower 50s. The bigger cooldown won't arrive until the middle of next week. Temperatures will remain a few degrees above freezing for Wednesday. The lingering moisture at that point as a better chance of falling as a few snow flurries.
Skies dry and partially clear out by next Thursday. Temperatures will continue to drop towards the end of next week. Wednesday night into Thursday morning, lows will drop back into the 20s. Thursday's temperatures will barely get above freezing.
