New restaurant and cocktail bar in Gahanna announces opening date
GAHANNA, Ohio (WCMH) – A restaurant and cocktail bar taking over the former O’Toole’s Irish Pub in Gahanna has announced its opening date.
Three Creeks Kitchen + Cocktails is set to open at 258 Granville St. on Tuesday, according to its website and social media posts. The founder of O’Toole’s, Joe Grundy, will be operating the reimagined restaurant in a partnership with his daughter, Peyton Grundey, who is serving as its managing director.
The restaurant specializes in New American cuisine, and each dish is infused with “chef-inspired creativity” and “local flavors,” according to its website. Steak, seafood, salad, sandwiches, shareables and dessert will all be on the menu, Payton Grundey said in July.
“I would like it to be a place for both special occasions and for everyday meals,” she said.
Cocktails will also be a focal point of the restaurant, with Creative Director Alaina Short previously telling NBC4 the eatery hopes to be one of the “main leading bars” in Gahanna. The concept will offer discounted drinks for its happy hour from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.
The restaurant’s interior features a bar with seating, unique lighting fixtures and a green and gold color scheme. The eatery also has a patio overlooking Rocky Fork Creek.
“We are aiming to reflect the greenery and the beauty of Gahanna and the community of Gahanna inside [the restaurant],” Short said in July. “It’s an elegant face with a lush interior. We’re just trying to strike a perfect balance between natural sophistication and warmth just to make sure every guest feels at home.”
Three Creeks’ hours will be 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and stay open until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Hours may extend to include brunch in the future, according to Payton Grundey.
