VIDEO: Man dressed as the Grinch directs traffic on La. 1, police intervene
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) - A man channeling his holiday spirit donned a Grinch costume and took to directing traffic on La. 1, bringing unexpected smiles during the morning rush on Friday, Dec. 6.
In a video shared with BRProud.com, he is seen appearing to jovially direct traffic while at an intersection on La. 1 until the Addis Police Department intervened around 7:15 a.m. Addis Chief of Police Jason “Possum” Langlois was among those that responded to the scene.
According to Langlois, the man was merely enjoying his morning walk in festive attire before venturing into traffic management. Police then advised him to leave the roadway to prevent potential distractions and accidents.
Heeding their advice, the Grinch complied but not before lightening the mood of onlookers with his seasonal cheer.
