UFC makes Seattle return official for early 2025
The UFC is set to return to Seattle for the first time in over a decade.
UFC Fight Night 252 is official for Feb. 22 at Climate Pledge Arena, the promotion announced during Saturday’s UFC 310 broadcast. MMA Mania was first to report the location as a frontrunner.
The card marks the fourth the promotion has held in Seattle. It hasn’t been there since UFC on FOX 8 in July 2013. That card was headlined by then-UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, who defended his title against John Moraga.
Washington has ties to a handful of current UFC fighters, including Michael Chiesa, who called for a spot on the card after his UFC 310 win over Max Griffin on Saturday. UFC women’s bantamweight champion Julianna Peña also calls Washington her training home. Other notables with ties include Miesha Tate, Terrance McKinney, Ricky Simon and Julian Erosa.
