‘Discussion chaalu hai…’: Mohsin Naqvi’s Latest statement on Champions Trophy 2025 as Hybrid Model is almost Confirmed

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided to go with a hybrid model for the Champions Trophy 2025, which will allow the Indian team to play their matches in Dubai.

The Champions Trophy is going to take place next year in February or March. Pakistan had requested a dal for itself until 2031, as they even took back the boycott threat and accepted the decision of hybrid model in the previous ICC meeting last week.

“Abhi discussion chalu hai. Me abhi aapko bata nahi sakta but Pakishtan ke liye jo aacha rahega, wahi karenge. (The discussion is still on. I can not tell you right now, but we will do whatever is best for Pakistan),” said Mohsin Naqvi.

After initially declining the idea of a hybrid model, PCB later stated that Pakistan will adopt it under specific restrictions. Using a hybrid mode to hold all the ICC events in India was one of the requirements.

The Champions Trophy is going to be held in Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi. Spontaneous ground renovations are going underway in the venues. If the event is executed in a hybrid model at last, India’s matches will most likely be held in Dubai.
