Gorakhpur is developing India's first Integrated Waste Management City-cum-Learning Centre by September 2025. The 40-acre facility will process 700 tons of dry and wet waste daily, producing charcoal and Bio-CNG. A hazardous waste plant will also operate, serving Gorakhpur and eight neighboring areas.
