GOP wants 'mandatory training' of government workers to follow Trump's agenda: report
In a deep dive by the Washington Post on the drastic measures government workers are undergoing to protect their jobs, or the possibility of legal harassment from president-elect Donald Trump's incoming administration, Republicans are also making plans to make them fall in line with the president-elect's agenda.
According to the report, panicked staffers are looking for jobs in the private sector, seeking to move to different departments that may not be impacted as much with the Post report adding, "...some civil servants are taking out liability insurance to cover lawyers if they’re demoted or fired."
Speaking with the Post, Jesus Soriano, president of the American Federation of Government Employees Local 3403, admitted, "There is shock and there is actual fear, and there is self censure in the sense that people are scared about retaliation."

The report adds that Trump's allies in Congress also want to get in on clamping down on civil servants.
"In another shift with potential to upend the civil service, lawmakers with a new GOP majority on Capitol Hill are dusting off legislation to force teleworking employees back to the office, allow Veterans Affairs to fire underperforming workers with little recourse and to require mandatory training to ensure that federal employees follow the administration’s agenda," the report states.
