McLaren star Piastri was also heard dropping a sarcastic dig at his rival on his radio after the incident.
Piastri was heard saying: “Yep. Move of a world champion that one.”
And when informed by his McLaren team that Verstappen had been handed a 10-second penalty, the Aussie star responded: “Good.”
