Re: Why are our fans so quiet?

0
I think we have mostly been a fanbase that reacts vocally to what we see our team doing on the pitch. As we have been perennial underdogs, we felt it our duty to be noisy and try to intimidate opponents. Added to a usually direct, get into them style, it would just hype us up that bit more. In most games this season we have been mainly controlling the play and we have had to adapt our mindset to this.

I have really enjoyed some of the football we have played this season. But I doubt anyone could describe our style as exciting, edge of the seat stuff, mainly because we have had to try and pick our way through packed defences. Constantly probing from side to side, goals tend to come out of the blue, once we finally pick the defence splitting pass. It's not full on goalmouth action, for example I can't recall an opposition keeper ever being MOTM or often asking in disbelief how we have missed yet another clear cut chance. Plenty of half chances but not many must-score chances.

When we do get back up, the better standard of teams will mean that games will go back to being more open and end to end, and ultimately a bit more exciting.

Also, most teams will sell their 2k at Blues but I refuse to believe that they all fill the away end at Wycombe and sing for 90 mins or create a good home atmosphere when Leyton Orient turn up.
