Japan revises Q3 GDP growth up to 1.2 pct

TOKYO, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Japan's Cabinet Office on Monday revised the country's economic growth for the third quarter to an annualized rate of 1.2 percent, up from the preliminary estimate of 0.9 percent.

Quarter-on-quarter growth came in at 0.3 percent, compared with a 0.2-percent rise in preliminary data and marking the second consecutive quarter of expansion, the data showed.
