A Udupi businessman lost Rs 2.5 lakh after his mobile phone was hacked, with the hacker manipulating his bank account's linked mobile number to receive OTPs and transfer the funds. Separately, a fake Facebook account was created in the name of former Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, allegedly to damage his reputation.
