Car fire damages vehicles, parking garage in downtown Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- At least two vehicles are damaged after a car fire in a downtown Portland parking garage early Saturday evening.

Just before 6:15 p.m., Portland Fire & Rescue crews responded to 1410 Southwest Columbia Street and found a single car on fire in a parking structure.

Officials say crews were able to keep it from spreading to the main structure above the parking spaces.

But while the fire was successfully extinguished, pictures from the scene provided by PF&R also show the ceiling was partially caved in and another car was damaged.

Officials have not yet released the cause of the fire.
