‘Clown can’t play…,’ star India cricketer breaks down against Australia, netizens create social media buzz
New Delhi: India’s vice-captain, Smriti Mandhana, struggled with the bat once again in the second ODI against Australia in Brisbane on Sunday, December 8. The left-handed batter was dismissed for just nine runs off eight balls, bowled out by Kim Garth. In the first ODI, where India lost to Australia by five wickets, Mandhana had scored only eight runs off 10 deliveries.
Mandhana had struggled in her two previous innings against New Zealand in the prior series before making a comeback with a century. She will be eager to recover her form in the third ODI in Perth on December 11.
Fans on X were disappointed with Smriti Mandhana’s failure while chasing 372. One user wrote:
“Mandhana Clown can’t even play in this flat wicket.”
Another user wrote:
“Please sack @mandhana_smriti as she is no more fit for playing cricket. She can spend her time somewhere else.”
A third user added:
“Time over for so called stars of women team..no ICC title win so far..players of small match..zero on big matches.”
