According to the tracking website, the plane, which was likely carrying the Syrian president, flew northwest from Damascus, and its radar signal disappeared near Homs.

FlightRadar explained that the plane carrying Bashar al-Assad turned off its radar after circling around Homs to hide its flight path from tracking devices.

Some Arab media outlets have reported that Assad may have gone to the United Arab Emirates, while others claim that he fled to Iran. However, all these reports have been denied or remain unverified by the media.
